Cherry trekked through the dense woodland, her ears perked up and alert. Pebble was behind her, following. She raised her head and looked around. It was just trees and bushes as far as the eye could see. Hopefully she would be lucky and catch some prey.

Sorry for late reply)) Pebble lifted her paw, and daringly took one step forward.
The odor was not as strong anymore, but was still in the air. Cherry stood frozen.
Pebble nearly jumped at the thought
Cherry whispered into her ear, "Bear."
Pebble cocked her head in a manner that said, What-was-that?
Cherry nudged Pebble with her muzzle and the two dogs ran through the brush.
Pebble saw her friend's fright and made her assumptions. This is bad.. she thought.
Suddenly, a familiar scent rushed upon her like a wave. Bear! Cherry's brown eyes widened in fright, and she gestured to Pebble to run.
Pebble looked at the area the sound came from.
Cherry opened her jaws to respond, but a rustling in the bushes interrupted her. Her ears perked up as she tried to detect more sound.
Pebble cocked her head as if to say, 'What is it?"
Cherry instinctively dropped down in a low crouch, noticing Cherry's gesture. She stopped and sniffed the air. She could smell the scent as well.
Pebble caught an odd scent and waved her tail to get Cherry's attention.
Cherry gazed proudly at the younger dog. She was a good listener.
"Okay" she said, sniffing.
"Sniff the air and try to pick up the scent of prey," Cherry instructed, turning around to face her friend. "The more prey we catch the better."
Pebble peaked her head up through the leaves to get a better view as she walked through a bush.
Cherry sniffed the air cautiously, making sure there was nothing dangerous in the area. All she could smell was the fresh scent of leaves and dirt.
Pebble crouched down, staying quiet.
